Delete my Steadwin data
The fast path: uninstall Steadwin from your device. All your fasting history, weight logs, water logs, mood entries, journal entries, and settings are removed from the device immediately by your operating system. We retain no copy of any of that data on our servers — we don't have servers for it.
For the small amount of anonymous data that lives off-device (crash reports + analytics), follow the steps below.
Step 1 — Uninstall Steadwin (deletes all your on-device data)
This deletes everything stored on your phone — instant, no email needed:
- Android: long-press the Steadwin icon → Uninstall → confirm. Or: Settings → Apps → Steadwin → Uninstall.
- iOS (when launched): long-press the Steadwin icon → Remove App → Delete App.
What gets deleted: all fasts you logged, weight log entries, water intake entries, mood entries, journal entries, your fasting goal, your protocol preferences, units, theme, language, notification settings, quiet hours, the anonymous device identifier — everything in the local database.
This deletion is performed by your operating system. We never had a copy.
Step 2 — Optional: email us to delete the off-device data
Three external services receive a small amount of anonymous data while you use Steadwin (full detail in our privacy policy):
- Sentry — crash reports (stack traces, device model, IP, recent in-app actions). Tied to your device UUID, never to you personally.
- PostHog — anonymous product analytics (event names like "Fast started" or "Goal selected"). Tied to your device UUID, never to you personally.
- RevenueCat — your subscription state if you ever subscribed. Tied to your device UUID, never to you personally.
To purge this data, email ahmed@deemaco.com from any address with your device UUID in the body of the email. Your device UUID is shown in the app at Profile → About (open Steadwin once before uninstalling to copy it).
If you've already uninstalled and don't have your UUID, email anyway and tell us roughly when you used the app and from which country — we'll do a best-effort match.
What we delete, and how quickly
| Data | Where it lives | Deleted |
|---|---|---|
| All your fasts, weights, water logs, mood entries, journal entries, settings | On your device only | Instant on uninstall |
| Crash reports + diagnostics | Sentry (Functional Software, Inc., USA) | Auto-purged 90 days after report; sooner on email request |
| Anonymous analytics events | PostHog Inc. (USA + EU) | Within 30 days of email request |
| Subscription history | RevenueCat Inc. (USA) | Within 30 days of email request |
What we cannot delete
A few things will continue to exist after a deletion request — these are outside our control:
- Subscription billing records held by Apple App Store and Google Play Store. If you ever paid for Steadwin Premium, Apple and Google are legally required to retain receipt records for tax and accounting purposes (typically 7 years in most jurisdictions). They never share these with us beyond the bare minimum (subscription product, country, renewal status). We never had your name, email, or payment details.
- Aggregated, anonymized analytics. Counts and trends that have been combined with other users' data and can no longer be traced back to any individual (e.g. "5,000 users started a 16:8 fast last month") may continue to exist as aggregate metrics. This is permitted under GDPR and similar privacy laws.
- System-level backups made by Google, Apple, or your phone manufacturer. Those are not under our control. If you've backed up your phone, contact your backup provider to remove the Steadwin data from the backup.
How long does deletion take?
- On-device data: instant (the moment uninstall completes).
- Sentry crash reports: automatic after 90 days, or within ~24 hours of an email request.
- PostHog events: within 30 days of email request.
- RevenueCat subscription data: within 30 days of email request.
You'll receive an email confirmation when off-device deletion is complete.
Your rights under privacy laws
If you are in the EU/UK (GDPR), California (CCPA/CPRA), Brazil (LGPD), or another jurisdiction with data-subject rights, you also have the right to access, correct, restrict, and port your data, in addition to deletion. To exercise any of these, email ahmed@deemaco.com. We respond to all requests within 30 days as required by law.
If you believe we've handled your data incorrectly, you can lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
